C++Robots is a programming game played by programs which control simulated battle robots. Programs are written in ANSI C/C++.
C++Robots was written by Richard Rognlie and announced in October 1994. C++Robots was released under a modified BSD license.
The arena is 10000×10000 units with the origin at the bottom left. 0° is to the right, increasing anti-clockwise.
The source code for C++Robots is very lightweight at ~1000 source lines of code. This is due to the bot's code being compiled with the standard C/C++ compiler. The combat program spawns bots as child processes and uses pipes to communicate with the bot process.
