Grobots (pronounced 'Grow-Bots', not 'Gee-Robots') is a programming game where designers create teams of biologically-inspired robots. These robots compete by killing each other with specified hardware or just attempting to survive on plantlike "manna" until the end of a round.

Programming is done in a variant of Forth. Using the language, robots can take actions such as moving, eating, sensing, firing weapons, reproducing, and communicating with each other. Available actions are based on which hardware was selected at design-time.

The game has full Windows and Mac versions, plus a Linux version which only supports text output (i.e. it runs matches in the background based on command-line arguments and spits out the results.) A Java port was created in 2014, which in theory means it works on everything.
